Chi Muyao pushed himself up to a sitting position. After that, he saw a Ragdoll cat walk by his side.

Chi Muyao was ecstatic. He caught it and smiled happily. "Kitty, you're so pretty!"

Then she noticed the cats, so she crouched down and used another method to draw Chi Muyao's attention. "Shidi, what kind of spirit beast is this? It's so fluffy. " Chi Muyao seemed to hear her and headed over with a cat in his arms. However, he stopped by Xi Huai instead of her. "Look at this little kitty, isn't it super cute?!" 

Xi Huai was lost for a moment in Chi Muyao's radiant smile. Then he nodded. "Yes, it's very cute."

"Try petting it."

Xi Huai subconsciously reached out. Yi Qianxi quickly went to stop him. "Don't reach out, have him reach in!"

Alas, it was too late.

Xi Huai wasn't too familiar with how things worked here. He obediently reached out after Chi Muyao told him to. Without an artefact protecting him, he was instantly befuddled by the miasma and walked out of the pure land.

In the miasma forest, his consciousness struggled for a second before he lost himself.

Xi Huai looked at Chi Muyao, who was still playing with the cat in his arms. To him, Chi Muyao was the most radiant and alluring existence.

He walked towards Chi Muyao and leaned in.

Chi Muyao noticed and looked up at him. He didn't reject the kiss, or do anything in particular.

Chi Muyao hugged the cat.

And Xi Huai kissed Chi Muyao.

Yi Qianxi was even more panicked than Chi Muyao usually was. She almost jumped up and down, telling the others not to look.

Yet how could she block them from sight?

Yu Yanshu subconsciously leaned back a bit. His always calm and steady face showed a trace of anger. Even his speech became somewhat irritable. He said to those beside him, "Han Qingyuan, drag Chi Muyao back in."

Han Qingyuan was still in a daze, but she snapped back to attention once Yu Yanshu called her name. She immediately took out her whip and tried to ensnare Chi Muyao's waist to drag him back.

But Xi Huai's reaction speed was too quick. He almost instantly stopped the kiss and caught the whip, pulling hard. He almost pulled Han Qingyuan out, but luckily Xi Zihe caught her. 

Mu Ren simply found a rock on the ground to throw at Xi Huai, who easily dodged it.

Outside the pure land, Xi Huai was still a Golden Core stage cultivator. A rock couldn't do anything to him.

Ming Shaoluo was utterly petrified. 

She did notice that Xi Huai liked Chi Muyao, but she didn't think his feelings were this extreme. After losing himself, the person Xi Huai coveted the most was still Chi Muyao.

This miasma really was potent. Xi Huai's been tormented by the Hui Dragon Flames since birth. He thought he was immune to all poisons, but he still lost control.

However, no other illusions appeared once he stepped out, he just kissed Chi Muyao. If the stone bed from the cave appeared...it was best not to think on it.

Yi Qianxi breathed a sigh of relief once Xi Huai was inside. Without him guarding Chi Muyao, her Shidi would be easy to deal with.

She turned to say to Han Qingyuan, "Han-shijie, please reel my Shidi back in."

Han Qingyuan nodded, blushing a bit as she dragged Chi Muyao back.

Chi Muyao froze like a statue once he was back. His eyes stared at the ground as he reddened at a visible pace.

It was like he lost his soul as soon as he stepped inside.

The other cultivators have seen some pretty embarrassing stuff out there. The top ones would probably be a male cultivator who lost control and went to harass a female cultivator, who turned out to be a cultivation maniac and attacked him crazily. The two fought until they were corralled back in. 

After returning to the pure land, the male cultivator was so ashamed he hid from everyone else. Even his food was delivered to him by a friend. 

Today's scene was nothing, but...this was the first time they had seen two men kiss. Especially surprising was how Chi Muyao didn't reject it.

So many people acted so rowdy, fighting to the death...it was rare to see a harmonious duo like them.

Han Qingyuan especially was blushing like an apple. She even peeked excitedly at the two of them a couple of times before leaving.

She actually thought the scene of Chi Muyao and Xi Huai kissing was quite beautiful. Despite being surrounded by miasma and a dark forest, it reminded her of a painting.

The other cultivators also dispersed without discussing this taboo.
