You Have to Follow this Young Master From Now On.

Su Yang couldn’t help swallowing his saliva.

A world of martial heroes had countless types of Poisonous Gu. The one Gu Feidi got might not be the same one from the script during the Evil Sect arc, right?

Holding on to his expectation, he asked tentatively, “What would happen if the Poisonous Gu is not removed in time?”

Mei Shisan frowned and thought for a moment, before going into details, “This one heard it from a third party, but the Poisonous Blood Gu itself is not a fast-acting poison. However, to survive the poison, the victim must get close to the person with the Mother Gu bug within one month. Otherwise, the victim will die.”

Yup, that’s the exact same Gu bug in the script.

His heart slowly sank. One part was because of the powerlessness of knowing the plot had once again collapsed, another part was from learning Gu Feidi was now living on borrowed time. But remembering that there was a way to save Gu Feidi. His heart calmed down a bit. Because Gu Feidi wouldn’t die from this.

He looked back and asked Gu Feidi, “Can you feel where the Mother Gu bug is?”

He must determine the Mother Gu bug’s position first before sending someone on the mission.

Obviously thinking of this, Gu Feidi frowned and pondered for a moment. His complexion turned pale as he called forth his internal energy.

He gasped for breath, “...The northern ice field, this was really the work of E’Luo Gui Faction.”

Seeing his pale expression, Su Yang knew that every time a user with the Poisonous Gu used their internal energy, they would suffer pain as if ten thousand insects were feasting on their insides. He felt as if he could experience the same pain as Gu Feidi.

He reached out and grabbed Gu Feidi’s wrist, whispering with concern, “Stop using your internal energy. Come back to my Sect...I will think of a way to help you get rid of the Poisonous Gu bug!”

Gu Feidi, however, gave a bitter laugh and sighed, “If there is a way to remove the Blood Gu, the Central Plains Wulin and the Imperial Court wouldn’t be so fearful of the E’Luo Gui Faction.”

Su Yang insisted firmly, “There must be a treatment, believe me! Come back to my Sect with me!”

Still shaking his head, Gu Feidi said in a low voice, “I must go back to my Pavilion and inform my father of the conspiracy of the E’Luo Gui Faction. As for the Poisonous Gu bug…even if I die, I will accept my fate as the immortal has decided. I will never beg the Faction for mercy!”

Su Yang hissed, “You are crazy! If I say I will find a way, I will find a way!”

The emotion in Gu Feidi’s eyes was like a raging fire. After staring at Su Yang for a long time, he suddenly smiled.

“Don’t worry, I am not afraid of death. My only regret was the day I promised Shizun I’d stay in the Hidden Pearl Pavilion, instead of spending those two years with you in the Lively Spring Garden…”

Su Yang: “...”

What kind of ancient-type romantic dialogue is this?

I understand you are grieving for the time we could have spent together as friends. But why did you make it out like a love confession!

Su Yang didn’t make fun of Gu Feidi’s confession.

He knew that Gu Feidi was pretending to be strong, but in fact, he must be on the verge of despair, frightened to death. To remain tough, he voiced out about abandoning himself to his fate.

So the best approach Su Yang should take was to use Gu Feidi’s own words, which would be less likely to stir up his reverse psychology further. He must slowly guide him back to the idea of coming to the Evil Sect with him without a fight.

The hand holding Gu Feidi’s wrist tightened, as Su Yang smirked and urged, “Since you regret that, why don’t you come back to my home? You still have at least one more month to live. We can live together on my island. We called it Iris Island.”

Looking at Su Yang, Gu Feidi said smiling, “Iris Island…sounds beautiful.”

Su Yang nodded quickly. “That’s right, my island is very beautiful. The scenery of the Sanctuary is also very beautiful, no less than the House of Jade at all. Are you turning down the idea of visiting and seeing the beautiful scenery together?”

Raising his free hand, Gu Feidi looked as if he wanted to caress Su Yang’s cheek.

But in the end, he took back his hand and shook his head again. “That’s right. I have my own responsibilities, I can’t afford to be selfish.”

After that, he tugged his hand out of Su Yang’s grasp, took a step back, and cupped his hand. “Farewell.”

Su Yang almost broke his back from Gu Feidi’s speeding bullet attitude.

Fuming with rage, he bit down hard. Fine, either go hard or go home. He swiftly went for Gu Feidi’s wrist again and pushed him to the ground.

“Mei Shisan!” He ordered. “Tie him up!”

Gu Feidi was shocked. “...You!”

Smiling charmingly, Su Yang stood his ground, “Stop acting desperate in front of me! This Young Master said he will save you repeatedly, but you dare to pick death every single time! I dare you to pick death again, see how far I will go to save you! What responsibility are you talking about? You only have a month to live, are you saying that the Central Plains Wulin can’t function without you? Let me tell you…even if you die, the sun will continue to rise and set in this world! Why can’t you just pick life just this once?!”

Afterwards, Mei Shisan, who had been waiting for a long time, quickly joined hands with another petal retainer and tied Gu Feidi securely.

Not only did the two tie the man up, Mei Shisan even looped a rope around Gu Feidi’s neck and presented the other end of the rope to Su Yang humbly.

Su Yang looked at the rope in Mei Shisan’s hand, completely speechless.

This felt like walking a dog. He can’t do such a humiliating thing to Gu Feidi.

With a sigh, he accepted the rope, walked forward, and loosened the rope around Gu Feidi’s neck. He redid the knot around Gu Feidi’s waist and tested the tightness. Pleased with his work, he grinned at Gu Feidi. “Now you can’t escape, you can only follow this Young Master back home!”

During the entire process, Gu Feidi didn’t say a word.

His gaze was locked on Su Yang almost greedily, not moving an inch away.

Once he heard Su Yang’s announcement, he stayed silent for a long time. Finally, he actually grinned and answered, “...All right.”

Su Yang: “...”

This pitiful child went mad from being poisoned.

He helplessly shook his head and commanded Mei Shisan, “Once we are out of this cave, go send a team to the Tengyun Pavilion and the House of Jade, investigate Pu Lingyun’s whereabouts. We must bring her back to Sanctuary no matter what. Use any method you see fit!”

According to the next plot, Pu Lingyun had the ability to treat Gu Feidi’s poison. It had something to do with a skill. Although he didn’t know the specific process, he should capture her just in case he was definitely in the right direction.

Unexpectedly, Gu Feidi burst into a rage, contradicting his docile self when they were tying him up. He pushed Su Yang against the stone chamber wall with his shoulder, it felt like his whole body was crushing into Su Yang.

Because his arms were tied behind his back, he could only use his body to pin Su Yang down. Their cheeks were close to touching, and Su Yang could feel Gu Feidi’s angry breathing on his face.

An overflowing fury burned in his eyes, as Gu Feidi said through his gritted teether, “How dare you covet Lingyun—?! You-you are unbelievable!”

Mei Shisan and the same petal retainer came forward and dragged Gu Feidi away from Su Yang. Mei Shisan kicked Gu Feidi in the back of the knee to try to restrain him on the ground.

Gu Feidi would naturally refuse to yield. He drew strength from his internal energy, inadvertently aggravated the Poisonous Gu bug inside him, and his complexion went from pale to ghost white. He clenched his teeth and coughed twice, but he refused to kneel.

“Hey! Stop bullying him!”

Su Yang rushed forward, pulled the man into his arms, and snapped, “I let you bind him, not humiliate him…Ow! Fuck! Holy shit Gu Feidi were you born in the year of the dog?!”

Gu Feidi bit the side of Su Yang’s neck, as if he was venting his anger. He ruthlessly left a bite mark.

Su Yang pushed him away and glared at him.

But Gu Feidi seemed to be angrier than he was. His nose flaring and his scowl was fiercer than Su Yang’s, as if lazer could be shot out of his eyes at any time.

Su Yang covered his neck, his internal self rolled his eyes.

Fine, I get it. You are a patient, a critical patient.

He patiently persuaded, “Fine, alright…Abort the mission. We are not capturing Pu Lingyun.” Coax the wild dog first, then I will give the order to Mei Shisan again once the mutt is out of ear-reach.

As he coaxed, he walked forward, pulling the rope.

Gu Feidi raised his leg and stepped on the rope, not allowing Su Yang to lead him.

Displaying a strained smile, Su Yang bluntly dragged Gu Feidi by the arm.

After a brief struggle, Gu Feidi was half dragged out of the stone chamber in Su Yang’s arms.

Su Yang said with a bright smile, “Ready, let’s go home!”

His petal retainers around him: “...”

They suddenly wanted to call it quits.

Their Young Master was simply too unsightly.

* * *

After leaving two members from the Plum Blossom Hall to study the sword marks left by the senior, the Evil Sect party gathered around Su Yang and marched forward along the passageway.

Having cleaned up the vipers along the way earlier, it took them less than an hour to arrive where they put down the rope. Here, they could see the sealed cave wall in the distance, in that direction, was the end of the unnatural cave. It would have been very difficult to find a way out without the rope.

By the exit stood a few Evil Sect underlings as guards. When they spotted that not only did Mei Shisan locate their Young Master but also captured Gu Feidi, they were extremely ecstatic as they each immediately bowed to salute.

Passing the good news to the top, the petal retainers above dropped the rope ladder. Everyone climbed up the rope and left the cave.

Once they returned to the wasteland, the underlings quickly brought over the horses. Su Yang immediately noticed a horse with a snow-white coat among the black horses that were raised by the Evil Sect.

The white horse raised its head, as if it smelled something. Then, the horse neighed at Su Yang and Gu Feidi’s direction, as it tried to break away from the petal retainer who was holding the reins.

Startled, Gu Feidi exclaimed, “You guys found Fei Lian.”

All the petal retainers ignored him. But not Su Yang. “Oh? Its name is Fei Lian?”

Gu Feidi nodded.

Grinning, Su Yang chuckled mischievously. “If I remember correctly. Someone said that I could have it as a gift?”

Gu Feidi said, “That’s right, you can have it.”

The petal retainer holding the rein heard their conversation and quickly loosened and released the rope in his hand.

Fei Lian trotted toward Gu Feidi and rubbed his face with its muzzle. Having no free arms, Gu Feidi couldn’t show the same affection with hugs or pats. He could only tilt his head and let Fei Lian continue to rub him. After a short intimacy with its owner, Fei Lian got a sniff of a familiar scent nearby, and sniffed at Su Yang’s shoulder with suspicion.

Su Yang looked at Gu Feidi’s inner robe on him and said nothing.

“Fei Lian is very powerful, and can travel an entire day with two people.” Gu Feidi said proudly, “Why don’t we ride together?”

Disliking the idea, Su Yang sneered, “Why does this Young Master have to share a horse with a prisoner? I want to ride this precious horse by myself!”

He happily sat on the horse, and turned around to order Mei Shisan, “You take him, watch him and don’t let him escape!”

Mei Shisan accepted the order and picked up the rope tied to Gu Feidi and forcefully dragged the prisoner away.

Not fully prepared for the force, Gu Feidi stumbled and nearly tripped. He glanced toward Su Yang, opened his mouth, but did not speak out what was on his mind.

Su Yang saw Gu Feidi’s look, and recalled how awful Mei Shisan and other petal retainers treated Gu Feidi, remembering Gu Feidi almost kneeling.

“Wait!” He blurted out.

Mei Shisan looked back. “Young Master?”

Raising his hand and scratching his nose, Su Yang said in an awe-inspiring righteous manner, “Gu Feidi is highly skilled in martial arts. I am afraid none of you could restrain him if he breaks free. Why don’t I personally transport him.”

Mei Shisan: “...”

Other petal retainers: “...”

Young Master, please don’t pretend we can’t see you abusing your authority for personal interest!!

Nevertheless, Mei Shisan returned the rope back into Su Yang’s hand. Su Yang hauled Gu Feidi up onto the horse.

At first, he planned for Gu Feidi to be sitting in front of him so he could hold him. But after a second consideration, it would be very inconvenient with Gu Feidi’s tied arms between them. Thus, Gu Feidi would be in the back seat. Then, a fleeing thought of Gu Feidi falling from the horse when it started to run. For precaution, he tied the other end of the rope around Gu Feidi’s waist to his own waist securely, with a tight knot on top. He looked very satisfied with himself as he patted his work.

Watching Su Yang perform this, Gu Feidi couldn’t help releasing a disappointed breath.

He put his chin on Su Yang’s shoulder from behind and mumbled, “Whether it be a month or even half a month…I am willing to be your prisoner even if you can’t find a cure.”

Authors Corner

The author has something to say:

I saw a lot of little angels leaving comments that Su Yang followed the plot too religiously, ha ha ha.

The outline was, in fact, silly with a hint of logic. Su Yang was supposed to have a stubborn, narrow-minded nature. He firmly believed that once he finished the story, he would return home. He also didn’t have the mindset or the ability to change according to the situation, with complete confidence in himself… Plus he didn’t know the script he knew of was heavily modified. The more the plot collapsed, the more he relied on the future development to set the plot back on its course. But because how unreliable the modified script was, the more he fixed the more astray the plot got… (However, it won’t be long before he decides to spread his wings).

Some portions of this project were not well compacted. Because of the joy I get from writing, I would often be lost in the happy moment and would unintentionally diverge the story from the original outline. And when I go back to the main plot, I would completely forget the fine details contained in the diverged parts… then I… (Pulled_my_hair_out.jpg).

Translator's Corner

Translator has something to add:

Su Yang looked at the rope around Gu Feidi’s neck: He looks like a dog

Su Yang bit by Gu Feidi: He is a dog

Gu Feidi: Woof

Teo: So in Chinese culture, we believe, or even compare ourselves with our zodiac animal, like people who were born in the year of the cow would work diligently, or people who were born in the year of the rooster would wake up early.

Side note, this has to be one of my favourite chapters to translate, I couldn’t stop grinning. At least the author acknowledged how much Su Yang was following the plot and argued for it (Notes: Religiously was not used in a religious sense, it means doing something regularly). And PSN, Su Yang was never an actor, he was recruited because of his dancing performance. I would almost compare him to the kid who played Aang in Avatar, great martial art skill, but nonexistent acting skill (foreshadowing).. But he is a cinnamon bun trying his best uwu

I hope to translate parts where Su Yang acts on his own uwu I live for the interactions between him and Gu Feidi! And was it me or does it feel like Mei Shisan has a fanclub?
