A Clear Autumn Night Painted by a Bright Moon and Little Stars.

Su Yang maintained his unhappy expression throughout their journey back to Iris Island.

He ordered Mei Shisan to guard outside the courtyard and had Lian Jiu help him unpack and prepare a bath.

Gu Feidi glanced at Su Yang and immediately guessed where the frown came from. He found an opening when all the servants and subordinates were not within earshot and advised, “You don’t have to vent your anger on your petal retainers, since your Sect is ruled under the Sect Leader, and with your origins on top of it…It makes sense for your Sect Leader to secretly command someone to spy on you.”

Su Yang nodded, but he was still feeling depressed. “I was so sure of my strength as the Evil Sect’s Young Master. But it turns out I had to be watched.”

Gu Feidi placed his hand on Su Yang’s shoulder and chuckled. “He is your elder and has been overseeing the Sect for over two decades. How could you compare yourself to him? Besides…even the guards by my side are sent by my father, not all of them are devoted to me.”

Gu Feidi wasn’t wrong, but Su Yang sighed with exaggeration. “You don’t understand…”

In the script, Gu Feidi and the Evil Sect’s Young Master were the best in their generation. One was the protagonist and the other one was the number one villain. As for the older generation of experts, they only existed in dialogue and blended into the background. Especially the leader of the Evil Sect, let alone his influence, he was killed instantly the moment he showed his face during the extermination of the Evil Sect.

Unlike him now, a Young Master who was controlled by people everywhere.

Could it be that this script had been modified to the point that even the original author wouldn’t recognise it?

“I can’t say I understand how you are feeling, but…” Gu Feidi turned to look Su Yang in the eyes. “If you need someone to talk to, I’m always here to listen.”

Su Yang thought, ‘I can tell you anything except for the fact that this world is fictional…It’s better if you don’t know it.’

After a simple discussion about what to pack tomorrow in preparation for their journey to the southwest, they took a bath because they noticed how late it was and went back to their individual rooms to rest.

During their time in the stone chamber of the Forbidden Ground, their sense of time was very weak and Su Yang would often enter meditation or sleep during odd hours, which led to the disorder of his circadian rhythm. So that night, the insomnia that Su Yang fixed during his time in the House of Jade returned with a vengeance.

Strangely, the more he was unable to fall asleep, the more active his brain became, and the more an assortment of thoughts came, thick and fast, making him extremely restless.

Countless worries and fantasies spun in his mind like a water wheel. Sometimes the little theatre in his head was a romantic live drama where they were lovey-dovey, sometimes it was bloody martial arts play where the cast was in a kill-or-be-killed situation, then it turned into an exaggerated drama in which the Tengyun Pavilion offered him millions of silver to leave Gu Feidi. The last little theatre was a soap opera in which Gu Feidi was forced to get married and have children under family pressure, and could only maintain their love affair in secret...

Su Yang scratched his head. He flipped over in his soft cocoon, got out from his bed, put on his robes, and walked toward the courtyard with his thin sword, planning to practice or meditate to calm his wandering mind.

After going through several sword dance sequences, the blossoming chrysanthemum in the courtyard had its branch severed, the flowers scattered on the ground.

There was a soft sound of a door opening from the side room of the courtyard. Gu Feidi, dressed in a sky-blue robe, stepped under the pouring moonlight.

Surprised by the uninvited guest, Su Yang blurted out, “Why haven’t you slept yet?”

Gu Feidi looked at Su Yang and replied quietly, “...I couldn’t sleep.”

Su Yang coughed softly and said, “It’s so cold outside. Won’t it be better to lie on your bed if you can’t sleep? Why are you out here instead?”

After a moment’s silence, Gu Feidi lifted his head up to look at the sky. “...Admiring the moon...”

Hearing this answer, Su Yang couldn’t help laughing.

“Watching the moon?” He asked with a smile. “How could you enjoy it without wine? What are you going to drink?”

Gu Feidi stared into Su Yang’s eyes and answered grinning, “...That in front of me.”

Su Yang: “...”

…He-help!!

Su Yang felt that his cheeks and ears were burning. Fortunately, the night was deep so his embarrassment wasn’t too visible.

He pulled out his Young Master’s persona by raising his chin and snorted with disdain. “Oh? This Young Master doesn’t belong to you, not even in your dreams.”

Gu Feidi released a breath and spoke leisurely, “No matter, I can happily be drunk myself.”

Su Yang heard this, and his heart trembled. He subconsciously licked his lips and swallowed his saliva. “Oh, then you go get drunk yourself. I am heading back.”

Then he turned to leave.

Gu Feidi grabbed his sleeves and grinned. “If you can’t sleep as well, why don’t you make a request of the servants to warm some wine and let’s enjoy the moon together?”

Since the other party requested, Su Yang couldn’t deny his feeling by turning down the invitation. “Fine.”

He called a servant on duty to heat the wine and prepare late-night snacks. A variety of dishes were brought out from the courtyard’s winding corridor and charcoal braziers were lit to dispel the cold.

After two cups, Su Yang glanced at Gu Feidi and questioned, “You used to sleep right at nightfall. Why couldn’t you sleep at the same time today?”

Gu Feidi smiled enigmatically as he returned Su Yang’s gaze. “I couldn’t fall asleep, I was tossing and turning restlessly.”

Su Yang was stunned. “...Huh?”

Studying the puzzled face, Gu Feidi gave him a helpless smile and asked the same question, “What’s keeping you awake?”

“Eh, I used to suffer from insomnia,” Su Yang rested against the corridor’s pillar. He lifted his head to trace the starry night with his eyes. “My mind always wanders into a mess.”

“Troubled mind with distorted thoughts? Is that why you came to the courtyard to deflower the lovely scenery?” Gu Feidi inquired with a smile.

“Deflowered…” Su Yang stared at Gu Feidi. Once he came to his senses, he shouted, “You were snooping on me?!”

Gu Feidi took a sip from his cup, enjoyed the taste of sweet wine and clarified, “It was you who practised your sword at night. I couldn’t sleep because of the noise.”

Su Yang felt as if a big pot was dropped on his head. He rolled his eyes and picked up his cup to drink all its contents. He rebuked, “I used to practice in the middle of the night all the time, and it never bothered you.”

Gu Feidi grinned as he examined his cup in thought. After a while, he whispered, “I kind of miss our days in the House of Jade.”

Su Yang nodded and agreed, “Same, days there were much simpler. At that time, I had thoughts of not leaving and staying like Di Ling Shijie and Mo Shixiong. I could teach the younger generations after a few years. It wouldn’t be such a bad life…”

Throwing that on the table, Su Yang suddenly felt that it was a really good idea.

He sat up excitedly, looked at Gu Feidi with a raised eyebrow and smirked. “Why don’t we return to the House of Jade after we get rid of the Gu Bug? We can stay there forever, without having to worry about the issues in the Jianghu?”

Under the glowing anticipation in Su Yang’s eyes, Gu Feidi was suddenly silent.

He put down his cup, picked up the wine jug, and poured more wine into his cup. He picked it up slowly and stared at the unsettled liquor before drinking it down.

“I am the Young Lord of the Tengyun Pavilion,” He spoke, not meeting Su Yang’s eyes. “I can’t evade my responsibility…”

Su Yang frowned and stared down at Gu Feidi. After a moment, he chuckled lightly. “Responsibility?”

Gu Feidi finally met Su Yang’s eyes. “Yes, you also…”

“You are the Young Lord of the Tengyun Pavilion. It’s your responsibility to inherit the Pavilion.” Su Yang interrupted Gu Feidi. He narrowed his eyes and his next words were fast as a bullet to the heart. “You are Alliance Leader Gu’s only heir. Is it also your responsibility to carry on the family line?”

Gu Feidi was startled and sat up straight to say urgently, “Su Yang…”

“Did what you said in the Forbidden Ground mean anything?” Su Yang bellowed aggressively, his breath carrying the scent of the sweet alcohol. “Oh? Do you plan to lead me on one side and go back home to get married and have kids on the other side?”

It was Gu Feidi’s turn to be stunned. “I didn’t…”

“You wanted to walk down this road, yet you aren’t ready to be the last of your family line?” Su Yang humphed. “Scum man!!”

Gu Feidi tried to calm Su Yang with a bitter smile. “Su Yang, you’re drunk.”

Su Yang pointed out a finger to Gu Feidi’s nose and snapped, “You are evading the question.”

Staying silent for a long time, Gu Feidi finally sighed. “I admit, I haven’t figured everything out…But I’ll try my best.”

Crossing his arms and leaning on the pillar, Su Yang looked at Gu Feidi with a raised eyebrow.

Gu Feidi bit his lip and asked tentatively in a whisper, “Su Yang…Your questions made me wonder…You’re willing to be with me in this lifetime?”

As he said this, the moonlight reflected in his eyes made it seemed like the stars were twinkling in those dark eyes.

Su Yang flattened his lips and lowered his head to ponder. He brought up, “This world…The Central Plains doesn’t really accept two men together from my experience. Are you not afraid?”

“If it was you, if I could be with you,” Gu Feidi said seriously, “there’s nothing for me to be afraid of.”

Spotting the hint of stubbornness in the younger man’s eyes, Su Yang couldn’t help smiling brightly.

“Are you possessed by the king of love-talk today?” He asked, giggling.

“What?” Gu Feidi was lost at the reference.

Su Yang continued to smile but did not answer.

He poured himself another cup of wine and enjoyed it slowly.

Then he put down his cup, looked into Gu Feidi’s eyes and declared, “A lifetime is too long for me to say now. However, I am fine to accompany you for a portion of a lifetime.”

Gu Feidi tilted forward slightly and asked solemnly, “Really?”

Su Yang didn’t answer.

He reached out and stroked Gu Feidi’s hair that framed the handsome cheeks. His fingers slid down the cheek and held Gu Feidi’s jaw gently.

He moved forward and slowly approached the other.

The two could inhale each other’s breath that carried faint sweet scents, with a touch of strange and attractive heat. As if there was a little devil whispering in their ears, urging them to continue, fermenting this ambiguous sweetness.

Breathing gradually turned shallow, as Su Yang closed his eyes slightly, and tenderly connected Gu Feidi’s lips with his own.

It was like a dragonfly skimming the water, taking off from the water after just a light, single touch.

From his sitting position, Gu Feidi suddenly got up on his knees. He placed his hand on Su Yang’s shoulder to push him against the pillar as he bowed his head, chasing and deepening the kiss.

With no way to escape, Su Yang could only allow Gu Feidi to dive into his mouth, parting his lips wide open to kiss him breathlessly.

The kiss lasted for what felt like an eternity, until they were dizzy from the lack of oxygen and from the wine, as their lips separated.

Their eyes landed on the other’s face and smiled.

Gu Feidi returned to his position, lifted the wine jug, which had been knocked over accidentally, and had spilled its content on the tray. “Such a shame, it was an excellent wine.”

Su Yang gazed at the liquor on the tray and suddenly frowned at the sweet smell of osmanthus and rice wine mixed in the air.

“This…that’s not right…” He murmured. “Last time you joined me for a drink and snack, we drank the same kind of wine.”

Gu Feidi’s movements paused after he calmly placed the wine bottle and cup together, and let out a low “Yes”.

Su Yang bent forward and grabbed the other’s wrist. He asked, narrowing his eyes, “You only had three cups that day, and you were so drunk that I couldn’t wake you up…How much did you drink today?”

Gu Feidi finally couldn’t hold back any longer and an amused smile appeared on his face.

He licked his lips and tried to bluff his way out, “Su Yang, I…”

“You pretended to be drunk that night?!” Su Yang stretched out his finger and tapped violently a few times between Gu Feidi’s eyebrows.

Gu Feidi grabbed his hand and soothed with a smile, “I wasn’t pretending, but I am drunk now. Is it possible for me to…sleep with you again tonight?”

Listening to this hopeful tone, Su Yang felt all of his hair stand up.

He shook off Gu Feidi’s hand and smirked. “I am a little tipsy myself so I will turn in for the night. We still have to pack tomorrow for our journey…Good night and have a pleasant dream, alone!”

With that, he turned and fled to his room. He slammed his door with a backhand.

Gu Feidi stood up and came before the door to Su Yang’s room. He heard the ruffling sound of clothes behind the closed door. He called out happily, “Su Yang. I am thrilled that you accepted my affection.”

A bright moon accompanied by a few stars in this cloudless autumn night.

The evening breeze carried the fragrance of flowers that penetrated deeply into the two’s hearts.

Translator's Corner

Translator has something to add:

Teo: I kind of put my other project temporarily on hold to finish the last few chapters of volume two in one go. I called WORTH. So my gift to the readers is releasing chapter 61 as a bonus. For the next volume, prepare for more fun interaction between our newest couple (that hopefully would overshadow their pains), and more mysteries to be revealed. I am looking forward to translating this one certain part :))) Let’s just say Su Yang gets to put something he picked up during his time in the online drama to use.

Also, we are at the halfway point!

Future Teo:  I hope you guys stick with me, because I really do love this novel very much, and I translated this wholeheartedly.

Yes….I’m looking forward to the next chpaters
I Randomly started reading a novel & found it is a gem….For quite sometimes I was hoping for a novel where the transmigrated mc would tell the ml about his transmigration.& this novel fulfilled my wishes.

When susu said “I can tell you about anything except the fact that this world is fictional. ” I agree with the author it’s is better for feifeu not to know tha fact. Cause it would only add ‘ confusion ‘,’disbelief ‘,’ angst’,’questioning his existence ‘ etc etc etc……
But the fact that susu told him the truth that he isn’t the real body owner & he wanted to conceal the ‘fictional matter’ really really made me happy…..
Today I’m having a terrible period craps & this novel is now my relief❤️
I really fell in love with the story.
& while reading I can feel how much effort & heart the translator put in this novel.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
